Tidying with children
as a way to connect

Tidying... Are you tired of sounding like a broken record or doing it all yourself? It doesn't have to be this way. Tidying does not need to be this boring, dreaded thing that you fall out over. It can be quality time. Maybe even a fun time.

The trick is to shift your focus from getting the task done to understanding your child's relationship with their things. It can offer many opportunities for conversations about what they like, what they are interested in, and what is important to them. When you approach tidying this way, the tidier room and your children learning some basic tidying skills come as a nice side benefit. I recorded a quick about how I got to see tidying this way.

I invite you to join the Tidying with Children workshop at 1-2 pm UK time on Wednesday, June 16.

We'll cover:

  • Managing your feelings around tidying so that you can approach it feeling calmer and more relaxed

  • What to do if your child would do anything but tidy - helping children explore how they feel about tidying and find their own reasons to tidy

  • Setting boundaries around tidying to help you avoid overwhelm and stick with your plan

It is a one hour workshop, delivered via Zoom. Cost £18. Click the button below to book your place.
