Parenting when you are triggered (and how to stay connected)

One moment you’re calm and patient… the next, you’re reacting in a way you didn’t intend. If you’ve ever wondered, “Why does this keep happening?”, you’re not alone. This workshop explores what’s really going on in those triggered moments — and how to stay connected, even when it’s hard.

About the event

We all experience moments when one minute we are steady and patient, and the next, we are reacting in a way we never wanted to.

You might feel that your child is being difficult, mean or pushing your buttons on purpose.

And afterwards… There’s guilt and confusion about why it keeps happening.

In this workshop, we’ll explore what’s happening in those moments:

  • How your brain responds to stress and why it can feel like you “lose yourself”

  • How to recognise when you’re becoming triggered (especially the subtle signs)
